If you are in the two week wait, you already know how long fourteen days can feel. Every twinge gets noticed. Every symptom gets searched. And somewhere in the middle of it, praying can start to feel like one more thing you are doing wrong.
You are not doing it wrong. God is not waiting for you to find the perfect words. This is a simple prayer for the two week wait, plus a few Scriptures to hold on to on the longest days of the month.

A Prayer for the Two Week Wait
Lord, I am counting days again.
Take the calendar out of my hands
and hold my heart instead.
Whatever this month brings,
let me rest in knowing
You are near and You are good.
Give me peace for today
and hope for tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Scriptures for the Longest Days of the Month
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
Psalm 27:14 (KJV)
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)
When You Are Tired of Waiting
Some months the hardest part is not the waiting. It is being tired of it. If that is where you are tonight, this prayer is for you.

Father, I am tired of waiting.
I have hoped, and I have cried,
and I have asked again.
Meet me here in the middle of it.
Be my strength when mine is gone,
and if it is Your will,
please bless me with a child. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Gentle Ways to Get Through the Two Week Wait
- Pick one verse for the whole two weeks. Write it on a card and keep it by the sink or on your phone screen.
- Pray before you search. When you feel the pull to look up one more symptom, pray one sentence first.
- Plan one small good thing for each day. A walk, a favorite drink, a call with a friend who understands.
- Let someone pray with you. You do not have to carry this month by yourself.
